Music City to the Mountain Interest Form

The University of the South and Vanderbilt University are excited to host international counselors on the Music City to the Mountain Counselor Tour prior to the International Association for College Admission Counseling conference. 

Our tour can accommodate a maximum of 20 international counselors, thus only 1 counselor per school is permitted to attend. All attendees will be expected to participate in all planned activities through the end of the tourCounselors who are invited and choose to attend the tour will agree to flying in and out of the Nashville airport and staying in the arranged hotels through the end of the tour. Prior to the tour, participating counselors will be required to provide a copy of their confirmed flight itinerary. 

Costs Included (paid by the host institutions):
  • Participants are responsible for international travel costs from their country of origin to the U.S. and back. A travel stipend will be awarded to cover flights to/from our counselor tour within the United States. Flights are purchased for you.
  • Transportation between participating universities and planned events
  • Shuttle to/from the Nashville airport
  • Hotel stay in Nashville and Sewanee (single rooms)
  • Event meals

Costs NOT Included (paid by the participant): 

  • Meals outside planned events and other personal expenses
  • Hotel room upgrades and additional guests (family or friends), if applicable
  • Airfare upgrades, including luggage, and additional guests (family or friends), if applicable
  • Hotel room(s) before or after the scheduled program, if applicable
Tentative Schedule 
Tour participants will fly into the Nashville Airport (BNA) and enjoy programming at Vanderbilt for 1.5 days. After this programming, you will shuttle to Sewanee for a 1.5 days of programming. You will stay one night in Nashville and one night in Sewanee before you depart for the International ACAC conference.
