    Sewanee BRIDGE Program in Biomedical Science: Counselor Recommendation Form

    You have been identified by a student applying to the 2017 Sewanee BRIDGE Program in Biomedical Science as a reference. Please use this form to submit your recommendation as well as the student's transcript and test scores. The transcript should include 9th grade onwards.

    The BRIDGE Program in Biomedical Sciences is a summer opportunity for rising high school seniors (students between their junior & senior year) that takes place from June 11 - July 1, 2017 at the University of the South.  Our mission is to provide an enriching educational experience that allows for personal development, as well as academically prepares students to enter college in the biomedical sciences and beyond.  As a Bridge student you will meet with our Admissions counselors and with our Career and Leadership Development Office, allowing you to see the pathway to academic success and career goal options. Additionally, you will see and experience research on campus and learn how to get involved, should you become a Sewanee student (please see Research Bridge).  We also will explore surrounding cities, Nashville and Chattanooga, to highlight medical opportunities and learn about what is it like to be a "Medical Student for a Day", and to just relax an experience this beautiful region and see what we have to offer.

    To ensure that your letter of recommendation is correctly matched with your student's application, please identify your student by providing the first name, last name and email address exactly as shown in the email we sent you with the subject line, Regarding the Bridge Program at Sewanee. Please submit your recommendation with transcript and test scores as soon as possible.  Application review runs from April 7 - May 5, 2017. A student's application will not be reviewed until their application is complete, so it is best to submit your recommendation as soon as possible because spaces will begin filling up for competitive applicants with all of there application pieces submitted.
