    Sreoshi Hossain Adhora, C'27


    Dhaka, Bangladesh

    Sreoshi is a junior from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is double majoring in neuroscience and psychology and double minoring in environmental studies and politics. Outside of the Global Arcadians program, Sreoshi serves as a chair of the Student Conduct Board. She is the faculty relations chair in the Order of the Gown, the DEI chair for Kappa Omega sorority, and the president of the Sewanee Multicultural Health Society. She is also an active member of the Neurds, OCCU, and Kappa Omega, and works at Stirling’s Coffee House and Pub. Last year, she served as a research article reviewer at ResilienceCon. Besides English, Sreoshi speaks Bangla, Hindi, and Urdu!

    Jawaria Jaleel, C'27


    Hassan Abdal, Pakistan

    Jawaria is a junior from Hassan Abdal, Pakistan. She is double majoring in politics and economics, and minoring in business studies. Outside of her academics, Jawaria works for the Office of Civic Engagement as a Bonner Leader, the Babson Center for Global Commerce as a Carey Fellow, and works for Stirling’s Coffee House. She is also the vice president of the Organization for Cross-Cultural Understanding (OCCU). 
    Besides English, Jawaria speaks Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi!

    Dante Studenko Chamorro, C'27


    Encarnación, Paraguay

    Dante is a junior from Encarnación, Paraguay. He is pursuing a double major in politics and international and global studies. Since his first semester at Sewanee, Dante has been an integral part of the University Choir, where he serves as the bass section leader. His passion for connecting with people extends to his involvement with HOLA and OCCU, on his shifts at the Tiger Bay Pub and Stirling’s Coffee House, tutoring in the Spanish Department, and working as a proctor with Residential Life. In addition to speaking English and Spanish, Dante also speaks his native indigenous language, Guarani, and is learning Russian at Sewanee.

    Nahuel Martinez, C'26


    San Lorenzo, Paraguay

    Nahuel is a senior from San Lorenzo, Paraguay. He is double majoring in international and global studies and politics. He has been part of the Arcadian Program since his freshman year and now serves as the co-director for the Global Arcadians. Outside of the program, Nahuel works for the Office of Residential Life as a proctor, is an active member of the Hispanic Organization for Latinx Awareness, works for Stirling’s Coffee House, and this year is part of the senior leadership board. Besides English, Nahuel speaks Spanish, Guarani, and Italian!

    Sanjana Priyonti, C’28


    Narayanganj, Bangladesh

    Sanjana is a sophomore from Narayanganj, Bangladesh, and is majoring in chemistry with a potential double major in English. She is a student researcher in Dr. Bachman’s chemistry research lab, the junior editor for the Sewanee Purple, a Global Arcadian, and is involved in many other clubs and programs on campus. She loves to play table tennis, badminton, cricket and watching FC Barcelona’s high intensity soccer matches. If she is not in class or the research lab, you can find her biking, caving, canoeing, talking non-stop about the serenity of Sewanee and endlessly pondering about the world.

    Pierra Mutavu, C'27


    Rwanda & Rome, Italy

    Eglesiana Pierra Mutavu is an international student born in Kigali, Rwanda, and currently living in Rome, Italy. She is a junior biology major, minoring in chemistry and French and French studies. Apart from being a Global Arcadian here at Sewanee, she is a student researcher at Dr. Rodriguez’s molecular biology research lab, she works as a biology and French tutor, serves as the vice president of the Black Student Union, alumni/DEI chair of her sorority Phi Sigma Theta, member of OCCU, member of the dance team TTT, and other different organizations. In her free time, Pierra enjoys working out, hanging out with friends, SLEEPING, and making TikTok videos with her friend Glory. Besides English, Pierra fluently speaks Kinyarwanda, French, Kirundi, and has a decent knowledge of Italian. If you want to chat about Sewanee, feel free to send an email.     Cseni Nagy, C'27


    Budapest, Hungary

    Cseni Nagy is a junior from Budapest, Hungary. She got involved with the Global Arcadians Program during her freshman year, and is super excited to be a part of this initiative, to get to know all the incoming international students and help make Sewanee an open, welcoming, and safe space for all, especially for individuals who travel across countries or even continents to be here! On campus, Cseni works with the Roberson Project on Slavery, Race, and Reconciliation, is involved in Greek life, and lives at the Community Engagement House. As for academics, she is double majoring in Politics and Russian with a minor in philosophy or film studies. On campus, you can always find her in Gailor Hall, hanging out with and having fun at her sorority's house, outside Stirling's Coffee House chatting with friends, or at the CoHo!
    Besides English, Cseni speaks Hungarian and Russian!

    Lara Georgia Noronha, C'27


    Fortaleza, Brazil

    Lara Georgia is a junior from Fortaleza, Brazil, and is majoring in international and global studies with minors in Spanish and business. Besides being a Global Arcadian, Lara Georgia is a proctor for the Office of Residential Life, the vice president of Perpetual Motion, served as an international orientation leader for the class of 2028, and she is part of Greek life. In her free time, she likes to go on runs around campus, spend her time with her friends, and dance. Besides English, Lara Georgia speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and some French!

    Oysik Saif, C'26


    Dhaka, Bangladesh

    Oysik is a senior from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is double majoring in computer science and philosophy. Outside of the program, Oysik is working for the Office of Residential Life as a proctor and as a Bonner Leader on campus. He is an active member of the Sewanee Computing Society, Philosophy Club, Sewanee Asian Organization, OCCU, and the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He also works at Cup and Gown during his free time. Apart from English, Oysik speaks Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu!

    Meran Paul, C'28


    Kashmir, India

    Meran Paul is a sophomore from Kashmir. He intends to major in economics and creative writing, along with a business minor. On campus, Meran works as a Bonner Leader at the Office of Civic Engagement, as well as a Carey Fellow at the Babson Center. He also serves as the co-director of the Global Home and the features editor of the Sewanee Purple. He enjoys reading and writing poetry, playing badminton, and listening to music he doesn’t understand. Besides English, Meran speaks Kashmiri, Urdu, and Hindi.

    Opeoluwa Odusote, C’28


    Ibadan, Nigeria

    Opeoluwa is a sophomore from Nigeria. She is a mathematics major in the pre-engineering program. Outside of classes, Opeoluwa is a student worker at DuPont Library and also serves under the Office of Residential Life as a proctor. She is a member of the Black Student Union (BSU), the Organization for Cross Cultural Understanding (OCCU), and a tutor in the Mathematics Department. She enjoys taking walks around the Domain, interacting with people and having good conversations. She looks forward to meeting and sharing the wonders of Sewanee with you! Besides English, Opeoluwa speaks Yoruba (a native language of the Yoruba people of Nigeria) and is learning French at Sewanee.

    Lucas Montiel Chaparro, C'28


    Capitán Miranda, Paraguay

    Lucas Montiel Chaparro is a sophomore from Capitán Miranda, Paraguay. He is double majoring in Spanish and environment and sustainability with a minor in dance. On campus, you can often find him biking between classes, working in the Theatre Department’s scene shop building sets for upcoming productions, or just dancing in the studio. Lucas is a member of HOLA (Hispanic Organization for Latinx Awareness) and OCCU (Organization for Cross-Cultural Understanding), and serves on the executive board of Perpetual Motion, Sewanee’s student-led dance organization. As a Global Arcadian, he enjoys sharing how his experiences at Sewanee connect people, cultures, and creative expression.
